The role and its responsibilities
Working from the AkzoNobel Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, you are responsible for a wide range of administrative and project management activities. These include agenda management and the processing of e-mail, regular mail and other correspondence (in English and Dutch). You also organize and prepare meetings. Further, you manage the administration of vendor payments (creation of purchase orders, following up on payments and postings as necessary), as well as ad hoc administrative or coordination tasks. For all three directors you manage travel coordination, visa requests and the processing of expense reports.
Please note that this is a role with considerable autonomy. As such you will be expected to take the majority of decisions as they relate to your own sphere of tasks and responsibilities, without seeking approval from managers.
To apply for this position you must possess the following attributes:
- Minimum Bachelor (HBO) level, with a Secretarial degree an advantage;
- Minimum 3 years professional experience as a Management Assistant, with knowledge of Human Resources processes an advantage;
- Proficient in the use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP SRM, Concur and similar programs;
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with sensitive data and information;
- Strong customer services orientation and attention to detail, able to professionally represent our company values;
- The strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including Dutch and English (written and oral), necessary to work effectively with all levels of our matrix organization.
